Whether you have recently experienced a loss or traumatic event, or are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, and not sure how to manage, counselling is a powerful tool to help you cope and thrive. It would be a privilege to be a part of your journey toward healing, growth, and self-discovery.

We all have our own beautiful, messy but ultimately unique stories. Who we are, and how
we present ourselves to the world and the people around us, are defined by our narratives.
Sometimes the challenge is that we may not be able to make room for the other narratives around us, ones that could help serve us in ways we may not have thought of. I am
passionate about hearing your story and providing a safe, brave and judgement-free space, to build on your core values and strengths to discover opportunities for
growth and
healing. Recognizing that even with the challenges presented to us, be that loss, anxiety,
world-altering changes, or interpersonal conflict, we all have strengths to build off of that
can help define newer and healthier chapters in our unique
stories.
As a Social Worker and Psychotherapist, I can acknowledge that not one size fits all
regarding therapeutic support. My work is founded upon narrative, emotion- focused, solution-focused, mindfulness and trauma-informed therapy.
My practice is significantly
informed by my personal experiences as a South Asian and queer woman. I can
understand and honour the impact that our stories can be defined by who we are and how
we identify. In our work, it is imperative for me to hold space for the intersecting identities
we have and how we navigate the world with them.
It would be an honour to bear witness to your story.

Life is beautiful, in part because of its challenges which can help us to grow and learn more about ourselves. There are times when we can feel overwhelmed and experience increased stress, anxiety, lack of motivation or various other things that have us feeling less like ourselves. Simply put, those are all signs that you have done the best that you can with the skills and supports that you have to navigate this part of your life. My hope in this role is to support each individual to realign with their strengths and the development of the skills needed to thrive during these seasons.
Starting this process requires the courage that comes from being vulnerable enough to take the first step to engage in counselling or therapy. If you are reading this then you are already leaning into that wondering if this could be helpful. I have been fortunate enough to work with many individuals and families over the last 16 years of my professional career. My focus has been to support individuals and families work through anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, ADHD, ODD, school refusal, behavioural concerns and family struggles. Over the last few years, I have dedicated my time to developing a trauma focused lens to better understand the unique impacts that adversity can have on our mental and physical health.
I have training in many different therapeutic modalities so I can best tailor an approach to the unique needs of individuals but have spent more time developing an expertise in CBT, TF-CBT, and DBT. My life experience growing up as a first generation Canadian in Latinx family, as a teen father to an amazing daughter, as a husband to an incredible wife, and as a father to my three other remarkable children also informs my approach in understanding the complex intersectionalities of life.
I hope I can have the privilege of connecting with you to understand how I can be helpful.

Hi, I’m Julie and I’m ready to hold space for you.
One of the most important things a therapist can offer is the ability to ‘hold space’ for clients. This means we are willing to walk alongside another person in whatever journey they’re on without judging them, making them feel inadequate, trying to fix them, or trying to impact the outcome. This is my promise to you.
I fuse traditional talk therapy and energy-focused approaches to help you unpack what you may be struggling with in order to bring about positive change in your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and relationships. Together we will identify what is holding you back from living the life you want and create momentum to change.
As a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a Masters degree in Social Work, I have extensive experience working in healthcare, post-secondary settings, and palliative care. I view every client holistically as physical and mental health are deeply entwined.
You will be equipped with new tools, strategies, and skills that will last a lifetime. I can’t wait to meet you and get started!

Hi! I’m Abbi and I am so pleased to meet you.
You have already taken a great step in your journey.
I have worked with many individuals over the years and have taken many trainings but have
come to learn that the most crucial aspect is the connection wi
th your therapist. I want to
ensure you are heard and feel safe to discuss the most vulnerable parts of yourself.
As a registered social worker I have come to specialize in the area of substance use with youth
and young adults. I have worked with many
who have struggled with symptoms of mental
health, family conflict, homelessness, trauma while simultaneously using a substance for
various reasons. I have worked in school settings, office based and community. I have helped
many prepare for residential
treatment and aftercare as well as outpatient therapy.
I also specialize in grief relating to pregnancy loss, fertility challenges and pregnancy after loss.
Life throws curve balls, and we can feel so lost when the story we had for ourselves doesn’t go
as planned. After having lived through this myself I dedicated the study of my MSW to grief and
loss incorporating a Narrative Therapy approach.
We will work together to determine what you need and how we will get there!

You’ve all heard this before: “Stepping into the world of therapy can be a scary and challenging experience.” Why? It may be because you grew up in an environment or culture where “talking” about your mental health did not exist, was not accepted, or when you did, it was not validated. Know that I actively try to de-stigmatize “going to therapy” as part of my practice. I believe that therapy can look different for everyone - as unique individuals we all have different goals in mind. Some individuals engage in therapy to maintain their emotional well-being and balance in their life and/or some want to actively address debilitating mental health concerns. I am here to tell you that there is room for all of this in our work together; I meet you where you are at.
As a Registered Psychotherapist and Professional Art Therapist, I integrate traditional talk therapy with art therapy, also known as counselling art therapy. The short answer for why, is because I am really passionate about this approach and I believe that not everything can be “talked” about.
First, let’s define art therapy: Art therapy is a therapeutic process where a client and therapist engage with various visual art mediums to work towards mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. Second, art therapy is for everybody! One common myth and misconception about art therapy is that you have to be an artist to do it - that is not true. All you need to engage in art therapy is a creative mindset. Imagine addressing your mental health from a creative perspective, the options are absolutely endless! Believe me, creativity is innately a part of human evolution; we are all creative and I invite you to ask me about art therapy to see what it can look like for you!
Lastly, being a Chinese Canadian psychotherapist and art therapist, anti-racist and anti-oppressive practices continue to be actively integrated into my work and life. I do this by identifying my personal biases and unlearning and relearning from Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) led resources to inform my practice. You can expect that I’ll listen to your experiences and continuously adapt my ways of working with you to support your needs and well-being. I strive to amplify our BIPOC voices in the mental health field and listening to your journey is the first step in creating a safe space for your voice to be heard.
I look forward to starting the work with you.
You’ve all heard this before: “Stepping into the world of therapy can be a scary and challenging ...
